It is a way of showing the product diffrently than what actually the product is. This unethical marketing practice may include intentionally to making customer sad and manipulation of consumer decisions, using fear tactics, and targeting people of apecific group
Some of the ways of unethical marketing practises are discussed below:
1.Fake reviews-
Fake reviews are the reviews that are unreal or made through bots which show the product diffrent and effective as such in real it is not
Fake reviews have covered in every area of e-commerce starting from pins to the elephants.Reviewtracking website Fakespot estimatest a third of online reviews on sites like Walmart.com, Amazon.com, and Sephora.com are fake. WSJ reported that the three retailers have disputed Fakespot’s findings, but have also taken steps to improve the reliability of reviews on their platforms.
The US Federal Trade Commission recently revealed that beauty brand Sunday Riley faked reviews of its own products on Sephora’s website for more than two years. Just after one week of this news one gaming site has deleted over 3000 fake reviews on games that are of low quality but in comment they are shown as good

Doctoring photos or using photos that are not authentic or unethical representations. Most people expect professional photographers to make the most of lighting and close-ups pictures and videos. But the finished products should be accurate depictions that are shown are of touch-ups and other enhancement techniques that are designed to mislead.

4. Plagiarizing -
Discovering that a competitor has copied or impinged on a tagline, blog post or promotion can be painful or infuriating. The reality is, plagiarism probably happens more often than most people will ever know, because of the internet.
People should know that if anyone is using their content without permission than they should take some action against them.
5. Making false, exaggerated, or unverified claims-
In a competitive market every seller want to sell their product to buyer to make customer buy their product marketers use false statements, exaggerated benefits, or make unverifiable claims about their offers. This is common in the health induatry where marketers convince buyers.
6. Concealing dark sides or side effects of products or services-
This unethical marketing practice is more in the industry where products contain some natural remedies , where most manufacturers fakes potential buyers that their products have no side effects because they are “made from natural products”. But in reality,their is no products have been found not having side effects, especially when used over a long period. Any if any claim is made then their should be proper medical report or certification need to be published.
These kind of practises in business can lead an Unethical marketing, on the other hand, can send wrong signals about your products and services, destroy your brand’s reputation, and possibly lead to legal problems.
